Gift Card Terms

These terms govern ResetNYC gift cards purchased through our website or mobile application (the "Service"). By purchasing, redeeming, or using a gift card, you agree to these terms. Gift cards are issued and managed by RESET NYC CLEANING SERVICES LLC.

1. Purchase & Redemption. Gift cards can be purchased in set or custom amounts and redeemed toward any booking on the Service. To redeem, enter the gift card code at checkout. If the booking total exceeds the card balance, the remainder is charged to your payment method. If the total is less than the balance, the remaining balance stays on the card for future use.

2. No Expiration. Per New York General Business Law §396-i, ResetNYC gift cards do not expire for at least one (1) year from the date of purchase. After that period, any remaining balance remains valid and redeemable for the lesser of the purchase price or five (5) years from the date of issuance, as required by law. We do not impose shorter expiration periods than the law allows.

3. No Dormancy or Inactivity Fees. We do not charge dormancy, inactivity, service, or maintenance fees on gift cards. Your full balance remains available until redeemed.

4. Replacement. Treat your gift card code like cash. If a card is lost, stolen, or destroyed, contact us at hello@bookresetnyc.com with proof of purchase. We will make a reasonable effort to replace the card or transfer the remaining balance to a new code, subject to verification.

5. Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law (e.g., NY GBL §396-i, which allows cash redemption for balances under a specified threshold as set by law). Gift cards may not be resold, transferred for value, or used for fraudulent purposes. We may void a card obtained through fraud or unauthorized means.

6. Use Restrictions. Gift cards may not be used to purchase other gift cards. Gift card balances can be applied to cleaning services, add-ons, and tips. Tips paid via gift card are passed through to the cleaner in full.

7. Balance Inquiries. To check your gift card balance, enter the code at checkout or contact us. We are not liable for any balance inquiry errors caused by incorrect code entry.

8. Liability. ResetNYC is not responsible for gift cards used without your permission. If you believe your card has been used fraudulently, contact us immediately. Our liability for gift card malfunctions is limited to restoring the card balance.

9. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes are resolved under the dispute resolution terms in our Terms of Service.

10. Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes that reduce cardholder rights below the protections of NY GBL §396-i will not apply to cards already purchased.
